1,27 kg fresh meat for 1 kg PLATINUM dry dog food
For 550 kg PLATINUM dry dog food we use 700 kg fresh meat (70 %) and 300 kg other valuable ingredients.
The unique slow cooking method in a ‘pressure cooker’:
It is not just the ingredients that make PLATINUM so worthwhile – the unique preparation for dog food is also key:
The slow cooking method in a ‘pressure cooker’ is key in this: The diced pieces of meat are cooked at just 95°C with rice, corn and/or potatoes without adding any water. After the cooking process, the food is slowly and carefully dried. Only once it has cooled to room temperature are cold-pressed oils, herbs and vitamins added in order to preserve the valuable nutrients. Afterwards the food is cut into shape and then – it is not stored in silos as is standard with traditional dry food but instead it is – immediately packed into fresh pouches. That’s how PLATINUM stays juicy and flavourful from the first bite to the last!

Fresh chicken meat (70 %), broken rice, corn (GMO-free), dehydrated chicken protein, hydrolysed poultry protein, dried brewers’ yeast, dried apple pulp, salmon oil, yucca extract, cold-pressed flaxseed oil, cold-pressed olive oil, green-lipped mussel extract, dried carrots, dried tomatoes, dried african marigold, dried dandelion, dried broccoli, dried green tea, dried chamomile, dried oregano, dried milk thistle seed, dried cranberry seed, dried seaweed, potassium chloride.
Small words – great effect
Have a special focus on product names containing the word "with". Like in this case, the variety denomination does not have to be the main ingredient. In the present example, the variety "with chicken & rice" contains only 14% poultry meat, which kind of meat is used in addition, is not shown here. Even rice as an important carbohydrate supplier is only included with 4 %. Above all, this dog food contains unspecified meat as well as animal by-products and cheap cereals as the main ingredient.
The principle of the open declaration
In comparison, PLATINUM uses only the best ingredients for the preparation of its dry food: For example, with our Adult Chicken, only fresh chicken meat - no other meat - provides your dog daily with valuable proteins. In addition, the variety is gluten-free and contains GMO-free rice respectively corn as easily digestible carbohydrate sources. Furthermore selected vegetables and valuable cold-pressed oils are included. All ingredients are clearly and transparently declared individually.
