Meaty-Yummy: selfmade cookies

Selfmade dog cookies

Dogs love delicious cookies, just like we do – and not only for Christmas. We created some recipes for dog cookies that you can bake at home quite easily. Depending on the favour of your dog, you can prepare the cookies with every variety of PLATINUM MENU and therefore treat your dog with different flavours. Please be aware, that the cookies are only storable in the fridge due to the high percentage of meat and should be consumed within 3 to 4 days!

The measurement of each recipe lasts for 12 cookies (depending on the size).

Meaty rye-oat-cookies

Ingredients

375 g MENU Pure Fish                                  100 g oat flakes

210 g rye whole grain meal                            1 tsp. baking powder

1 tbsp. olive oil                                                  1 egg

Preparation

Step 1

Mix the PLATINUM MENU and the oat flakes with a fork into dough. Then fold the egg and the olive oil into the rye whole grain meal and the backing powder. Afterwards gently knead the dough. (go on to step 2)

Step 2

Wrap the dough into cling film and put it into the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

Then knead the dough again and form balls of the same size. After that form about 10 cm long rolls out of the balls. Then shape the ends, so small bones are evolving. If you want to cut out the cookies, we recommend you to broaden sprinkle potato flakes / maize meal / potato meal / buckwheat meal / rye whole grain meal on worktop, rolling pin and dough. Then start by pressing down the dough with your hands and rolling it out until it is about 8 mm thick. After that you can cut the cookies in your desired shape. If gluten-free meal is used, the dough is not that sticky. Therefore it is recommended to press the dough together while rolling it out.

Heat your oven to 160° C and bake the cookies for 35 to 45 minutes. Before tasting, let the cookies cool down.

Our office dogs already made a taste test and every variation scored well.
